The Senior Experience
Senior year is a chapter like no other—a sweet, wild blur of endings and beginnings.
It’s the year of last first days, whispered dreams about the future, and moments that flutter by faster than we can hold them. As a photographer and a mom, I know this season by heart... and I know how important it is to press pause and preserve it.
That’s what these sessions are all about. More than just pretty pictures, they’re a chance to tell the story of who they are right now—before tassels are turned and new adventures unfold.
From the first “Let’s chat!” to the final gallery delivery, my goal is simple: to make every senior feel seen, celebrated, and completely themselves.

What to Expect
From the moment you reach out, I’m here to make this process feel easy, meaningful, and even a little magical.
Before the Session: We’ll chat about what makes your senior feel most like themselves—their hobbies, their style, the kind of vibe they want to capture. Together, we’ll choose locations that hold meaning (yes to the hometown beach or football field!) and select outfit ideas that feel comfortable, confident, and totally true to them.
During the Session: This is where the fun happens. I’ll gently guide them through natural poses, quiet moments, and genuine laughter. No stiff smiles—just real emotion, real beauty, and a relaxed atmosphere that lets their personality shine.
After the Session: I’ll send over sneak peeks that will make your heart skip, then deliver a hand-edited gallery full of images that tell the story of this once-in-a-lifetime season.

Make It Your Own
Every session is personalized—but here are some ways to really make it feel like you:
• Bring personal touches—sports gear, art supplies, musical instruments, pets
• Include a cap & gown, letterman jacket, or childhood keepsake
• Want a few shots with Mom or Dad? Let’s make it happen (and bring tissues)
From Families Just Like Yours
“Shanda captured my son’s senior photos and I couldn’t be more in love! He wasn’t looking forward to the session since he hates having pictures taken, but she did great getting him comfortable and didn’t pressure him. She was able to get a lot of photos that really show his personality, and she did it in the drizzling rain without a mention of it.”
— Sara, senior mom
